AD8628/AD8629/AD8630 can offer characteristic advantages that only expensive auto-zero or chopper stabilized amplifiers had before. These zero-drift amplifiers use ADI's topology, which combines low-cost, high-precision, and low-noise characteristics without the need for external capacitors. In addition, AD8628/AD8629/AD8630 also greatly reduces the digital switching noise that most chopper stabilized amplifiers have.
The offset voltage of AD8628/AD8629/AD8630 is only 1µV, the offset voltage drift is less than 0.005 µV/°C, and the noise is only 0.5µV peak-to-peak (0 Hz to 10 Hz), so it is suitable for applications where error sources are not allowed. The drift of these devices in the operating temperature range is close to zero, which is extremely beneficial for position and pressure sensors, medical equipment, and strain gauge amplifier applications. Many systems can use the rail-to-rail input and output swing capabilities provided by the AD8628/AD8629/AD8630 to reduce the complexity of input bias and maximize the signal-to-noise ratio.
The AD8628/AD8629/AD8630 are rated for an extended industrial temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. The AD8628 is available in three plastic packages: 5-pin small TSOT, 5-pin SOT-23, and 8-pin narrow SOIC. AD8629 is available in standard 8-pin narrow-body SOIC and MSOP plastic packages. The AD8630 quad amplifier is available in 14-pin narrow SOIC and 14-pin TSSOP plastic packages.
